September 30th: VS Code Tip of the Week

This week's VS Code Tip of the Week comes from James Q. Quick. If you don't know James, he's an amazing content creator. I got a chance to hang out with him on the DEV Twitch stream a little while back. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I'm pulling this tip from a VS Code live stream they had with James on YouTube today.

If you hold the Option key (Alt on non-Mac) down while using the right and left arrows, you can navigate word by word back and forth.

I can't believe I didn't know this! Maybe everyone except me knew this one lol. This also works in Google Docs and Word as James mentions.

The whole video has a lot of great info on making you more productive in Visual Studio Code. I encourage you to check out the whole video.

This also works in pretty much every text based app on macOS, Windows, Linux, etc.

If you hold down the shift key while doing this, it will select each word as you go.

I feel silly for not knowing this, but better late than never! Thanks Justin!
